...In 1969 Japan, hordes of monsters are appearing all over the country. Luckily, the Earth Defense Organization AEGIS has something to send the invaders to their demise. That something is a girl, Ruriko Ikusawa, with the ability to derive supernatural power from another dimension. There is a group of special children known as the Gatekeepers that are destined to battle the monsters. Later on, a boy named Shun Ukiya shows up who also posseses great power.
